Miwok Stables Center

The Miwok Stables Center is a non-profit organization providing horseback riding, educational and enrichment programs. In addition to riding programs, lessons and outreach “horses as healers” classes, the Center restores the historic Miwok Stables, to be an attractive and safe place for the public to enjoy in this National Park Service.

Located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Marin County, located just across the bay from San Francisco.

Outreach

Since 1994, the Miwok Stables Center has supported a wide variety of no-fee programs for members of the community who would not otherwise have the opportunity, such as those with special needs, inner city kids seeing horses and a ranch for the first time in their lives, and women in cancer recovery. We have served youths from Hunters Point, the San Francisco Juvenile Division, Sunny Hills Children’s Services, Oak Hill School, Marin County Sober Classroom and patients from MarinHealth’s Cancer Recovery Center.
